My Practice

Reaching out for help or seeking a therapist’s guidance can be a confusing, even daunting experience. Knowing what you are getting into and what to expect can alleviate a lot of that stress. Most of my patients have similar questions about the therapeutic process and what it all entails. Below are some of the questions and concerns that I often encounter:

What is your availability, and how much flexibility do you have when scheduling patients?

I understand that life continues at full-speed regardless of your mental health situation or the personal challenges you face in work and relationships. It can be difficult to find time in the day for yourself, much less for a therapist. However, I offer a range of hours during the week that can accommodate your needs.

Do you accept insurance?

I accept private payment and I'm also in-network with Aetna. In the case that your insurance allows you to work with out-of-network caregivers, I can provide you with an itemized invoice or statement for services rendered for reimbursement. Many insurance companies may reimburse a portion of therapy costs, and I encourage you to consult with them about coverage and reimbursement rates.

When is payment due?

Patients make a payment at the time of the session, which also applies to insurance co-payments and deductibles, if applicable. Once treatment has been established, payment may be arranged on a monthly basis.

Where is your practice?

2491 Washington Street, at the corner of Washington and Fillmore streets in San Francisco. I am available to meet in person and also by telephone and video conferencing.

What kind of services do you provide?

I offer a range of services, including individual psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and psychiatric consultation, including medication evaluation and treatment. I can help you manage depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss as well as various relationship issues. You may also find value in having someone to collaborate with, someone to bounce ideas off of as I help you navigate a variety of life’s challenges. I am also fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
